Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved North Stars beat the Rapids.

The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids went down to defeat to Jibril Bashir and his Thessalon teammates. The final score was 6-2, in favor of the North Stars. Thessalon is now 15-12, while Sault Ste. Marie is 12-15.

Christian Boisseau drove in 2 runs against the Rapids. In the bottom of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Thessalon in front, 1-0.

"It's not about individual awards," Bashir told a Thessalon Daily News reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
