Insulaires Lose to Bucherons in Walk-Off
Bucherons Grounds was host to some intense drama.

The Thurso Bucherons had to overcome a big game from Laval third baseman Poncio García to leave Bucherons Grounds with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5. García was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Thurso reliever Caoimhín Henry was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Vicente Villarreal.

Luis Jacobo was the walk-off hero for Thurso. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bucherons right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"That game was intense," Jacobo said.

With the win, Thurso elevates its record to 16-10.
