The Laval Insulaires had no problem beating the Thurso Bucherons, 11-1, at Bucherons Grounds. Cayetano de Castro led the way. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times for Laval. Laval is 12-19 and Thurso, with the loss, 16-11.

Luis Landa had a big run-scoring double for the Insulaires in the top of the second inning. With Laval leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Atenágoras Uribe, who is tied for 4th in the LBQ in wins with 4, and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Insulaires ahead, 3-1.

"We can't expect to win," said Thurso manager Joey Stockman, "when we play like that."
