Sault Ste. Marie Earns 3-2 Win
The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids took Thunder Bay pitcher Braulio Saligán's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Thunder Bay Grounds. The final score had Sault Ste. Marie getting past the Sleeping Giants, 3-2. Saligán went 9.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. Sault Ste. Marie reliever Lidio Rodríguez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Édgar Martínez took the loss. The 4th-place Sleeping Giants now sit at 11-16.

Sault Ste. Marie used the timely hitting of Iestyn Burnett to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rapids on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Sault Ste. Marie manager Silverio Gómez called it "a pretty good win."
