Kumamoto and Fukuyama took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Kumamoto Kuma starter Tokutomi Sakai pitched a strong game against the Fukuyama Komori at Fukuyama Grounds, leading the Kuma to victory, 8-1. Sakai, now 6-2, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Yozo Fujioka? The Kumamoto left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Kuma on top, 3-1. For the game, Fujioka had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Tokutomi has got a slow heartbeat," said Kumamoto manager Frank Buttery. "He doesn't panic or anything."
