At Thunder Bay Grounds, the Brampton Florists and Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants defeated the Brampton Florists by the score of 5-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Anaximandro Barajas. Barajas was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Sleeping Giants on the day. Thunder Bay pitcher Terry Seaman got the win, upping his record to 6-3. Germán Pérez got the loss.

Early in the game, Barajas had a 2-run double for Thunder Bay. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Sleeping Giants on top, 3-1.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Barajas told the Thunder Bay Observer.

Thunder Bay, at 20-19, holds down 4th place in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario North.
