The Thessalon North Stars picked up a win at North Stars Stadium, topping the Nipissing Air Marshals, 6-3. On the mound for Thessalon was right-hander Pelayo Fernández. He played a principal role in the triumph. Fernández got the win, improving to 8-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 4 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The second-place North Stars now sit at 27-22.

Thessalon catcher Salomé Larberk contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 17th hit of the season and put the North Stars ahead, 6-3.

Thessalon manager Guillermo Tobón commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
