Kodaibito Get Clutch Win Versus Morioka
|
The Morioka Ayame could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Hakaru Takamiya into a win. Instead, the Kamakura Kodaibito prevailed, 4-3. Takamiya threw 9.0 innings allowing 4 runs. The Kodaibito, at 30-31, sit in 5th place in the Northern League.
Sadao Kuroki was 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI for Kamakura. With one out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Kuroki, who is tied for 8th in the NL in triples with 3, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Morioka hurler Hakaru Takamiya, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to give the Kodaibito a 4-3 lead.
