The Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants used the hitting of first baseman Julián Santillán to subdue the Thessalon North Stars, 6-5. For the game, Santillán belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Édgar Martínez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 11-4. Logan McWilliam suffered the loss. Thunder Bay now sports a record of 27-25.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Thunder Bay trailing 5-3, Santillán jumped on a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Logan McWilliam and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Sleeping Giants had a walk-off win.

"I'm glad I got one I could handle. Glad I got the barrel on it," said Santillán.
