Sakura Earn Win with Late Rally
Takasaki starter Yasufumi Matsubara pitched well against the Fukushima Kamome at Sakura Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 10 innings. Takasaki reliever Ricardo Chávez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Kuranosuke Hori absorbed the loss. Today's win puts Takasaki at 34-35, while Fukushima falls to 38-33.

The Sakura relied on shortstop Solly Hofman for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

Hofman called the triumph "a good team win."
