The Thessalon North Stars knocked off the Nipissing Air Marshals, 5-4, in Ontario Baseball Association action at Air Marshals Park. Thessalon pitcher and Ecatepec, Mexico, native Ángel Aguilar had an outstanding performance. In 9 innings, Aguilar surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 4 runs. With the win, Thessalon goes to 40-29, while the Air Marshals fall to 22-43.

Assane Mankou had a big 2-run home run for the North Stars in the top of the sixth inning. With Thessalon leading 3-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a slider from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Kekeletso Mahao and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the North Stars on top, 5-1.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Nipissing manager Jerry Kane. "But we decided not to take it."
