Wheelwrights Win Squeaker, 5-4, Over Bonebreakers
The Markham Wheelwrights did just enough to nip the Pickering Bonebreakers, 5-4, in 13 innings. Markham pitcher Urías Macancela, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner in relief was Miguel Vega. He is now 5-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. At 38-38, the Wheelwrights find themselves in third place in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario South.

Markham used the timely hitting of Pedro Cerda to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Wheelwrights on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Cerda.
