Sudbury left fielder Luis Robles was a significant contributor in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants. He went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Meteors. Jesús Castellón was the winner. Over 8.1 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Picking up the save was 35-year old right-handed pitcher Aldo Trujillo.

Sudbury took a 6-3 lead on Robles's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Andrónico Lona in the top of the eighth, propelled Sudbury to the win.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Thunder Bay skipper Tomás Rivera.

The Meteors raised their record to 54-28.
