Hammers Post 7-2 Win
|
Riding the 4-hit performance of the 22-year old shortstop Jamie Miller, the Hamilton Hammers stopped the Brampton Florists, 7-2, in 9 innings. Ranulfo Treviño earned the win for Hamilton. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 11-8. Scully Shaw got the save, the 4th for him this season.
Enrique Bringas drove in one run for Hamilton. The 21-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Cameron McMillan. It was his 29th RBI of the season.
Bringas said afterward that "winning, obviously, is the main objective."
The win makes Hamilton 46-41.
