Martínez Gives Moncton Goose Eggs
Before the game, Rafael Martínez said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Magnets Stadium, the Fourches pitcher blanked the Moncton Magnets, 2-0.

"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Martínez said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my sinker even when I was behind in the count."

The Levis starter held Moncton scoreless, giving up 4 hits while registering 4 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Magnets manager Plutarco Carrillo said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."

This season, Martínez has compiled a 9-9 mark with a 3.35 ERA in 21 starts.
