Bucherons Hang 6-2 Loss on Insulaires
The Thurso Bucherons topped the Laval Insulaires, 6-2, in Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action at Insulaires Field. The standout performance belonged to Thurso pitcher and Montreal, Canada, native Corey Lang. Lang got the win, improving to 8-8. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The third-place Bucherons are now 44-42, the Insulaires 39-51.

Thurso used a clutch at-bat from Timoteo Lozano to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bucherons ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Lozano called the triumph "a good team win."
