Late Offense Lifts Nipissing to 6-5 Victory
Led by Grégoire Moreno, the Nipissing Air Marshals defeated the Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants, 6-5. Moreno was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Air Marshals. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jonás Díaz in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Édgar Martínez took the loss. The last-place Air Marshals improved to 28-62.

The decisive moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Nipissing. That's when Sam Sheahan hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Édgar Martínez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Sheahan said, postgame.
