North Stars Deal Sleeping Giants 7-5 Defeat
The 7-5 Thessalon win over Thunder Bay was due largely to Max Gardener. The North Stars third baseman went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. Logan McWilliam earned the win to go to 11-8. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in 9 innings of work. The North Stars raised their record to 51-41.

The North Stars got a big hit from shortstop Christian Boisseau. In the top of the ninth, Boisseau smacked a bases-clearing double off Thunder Bay pitcher Catamantaloedes Sánchez. It was his 13th double of the season. Suddenly, the North Stars were ahead, 7-5.

"I like the roll we're on," said Thessalon manager Guillermo Tobón.
