Privateers Stick Bucherons with 5-1 Loss
The Sherbrooke Privateers rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Carlos Cruz to a win, beating the Thurso Bucherons, 5-1, at Bucherons Grounds. The Privateers now have a record of 44-50.

Jacob Scott had a big 2-run double for the Privateers in the top of the first inning. With Sherbrooke leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Corey Lang and swatted a double to left. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Privateers ahead, 3-0.

Sherbrooke manager Pedro Aponte praised his team's "energy."
