Due in large part to designated hitter Ctirad Vobornik, the Thessalon North Stars sunk the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids, 10-5. Vobornik was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Thessalon goes to 57-45, while the Rapids fall to 51-50.

In the first inning, Vobornik had a 2-run double for Thessalon. It was his 11th double of the season and put the North Stars on top, 4-0.

"We put it together and came out with the win," Vobornik said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
