The Nipissing Air Marshals and Thessalon North Stars played an exciting game.

Nipissing beat Thessalon on the strength of starting pitcher Matt Kirby's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Nipissing occupies third place in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario North at 56-45.

It was a masterful performance from the popular Kirby, who notched 8 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 5 hits. Kirby, who is tied for 2nd in the OBA with a 8.3 K/9 rate, goes to 16-11 on the year with 208 strikeouts.
