Rapids Use Late Rally to Win
Thunder Bay wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Terry Seaman, falling to the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids, 6-5. Seaman threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The third-place Sleeping Giants dropped to 54-48.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Iestyn Burnett hit a 1-0 changeup from Andrónico Lona for a run-scoring single. It put Sault Ste. Marie in front, 6-5.

"Good win for us," said Burnett. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
