Aca Ludmilov was instrumental in his team's 8-5, extra-inning triumph over the Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants. The center fielder went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Thessalon North Stars. The winner in relief was Logan McWilliam. He is now 14-10. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4 innings.

Thessalon got a clutch hit from Raúl Quintanilla. The third baseman launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Quintanilla. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."

The loss makes Thunder Bay 57-55.
