The Thurso Bucherons could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Marco Martínez into a win. Instead, the Lachute Supercalandres prevailed, 7-4. Martínez came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters. Lachute raised its record to 63-52 with the win.

Alastair Gerlach had a big 2-run double for the Supercalandres in the top of the third inning. With Lachute leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Atenágoras Uribe and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Supercalandres ahead, 5-0.

Gerlach said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
