The Thessalon North Stars had no problem beating the Sudbury Meteors, 11-1, at Sudbury Grounds. Marten Sjostrom, who is tied for 4th in the OBA in triples with 5, led the onslaught. He was 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for Thessalon. The second-place North Stars lifted their record to 68-48.

Pío Muñoz hit a 2-run triple off Jesús Castellón in the top of the first, which put the North Stars in front, 2-0. Muñoz had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.

"Not much to say," Sudbury manager Jesús Vásquez said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
