Markham pitcher Donnie Lynch did his part in helping his team beat the Pickering Bonebreakers, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Markham goes to 62-56, Pickering to 59-59.

Tied up with the Bonebreakers in the top of the fifth inning, the Wheelwrights got a boost from third baseman Gabriel Adame. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Adame saw a 1-2 knuckle curve from Jeremy Whalen and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Markham on top, 2-1.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Lynch.
