In a tight tilt between the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids and the Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants, Quilón Santos was the deciding factor. The Sault Ste. Marie left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Santos, who is tied for 6th in the OBA with a 1.11 WHIP, went the distance for Sault Ste. Marie. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. Sault Ste. Marie sits in 4th place in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario North at 60-65.

Kyle House had a big solo home run for the Rapids in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Sault Ste. Marie leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a cutter from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Terry Seaman and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Rapids on top, 3-1.

In postgame remarks, House applauded his team's "business-like approach."
