The Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants dumped the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids, 8-4, in large part due to first baseman Julián Santillán. On the day, Santillán went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk for the Sleeping Giants. Thunder Bay is now 64-58.

Thunder Bay used a clutch at-bat from Fabricio Fernández to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Sleeping Giants ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Thunder Bay manager Tomás Rivera.
