The Laval Insulaires topped the Thurso Bucherons, 5-3, at Insulaires Field. Laval second baseman Robbie Perks was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 times. Laval's record now stands at 59-67, placing them 4th in the Ligue du Baseball du Quebec Division Ouest.

The Insulaires got a big at-bat from left fielder James Logan. For the game, Logan was 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 10th double of the season gave Laval a 2-1 lead.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Perks told the Laval Daily News.
