Acevedo Leads Wild Pigeons to 3-0 Win over Bonebreakers
|
Wild Pigeons Stadium was the site for Ontario Baseball Association action featuring the Pickering Bonebreakers and Kitchener Wild Pigeons.
Right-hander Lisandro Acevedo mesmerized the Pickering Bonebreakers while leading the Kitchener Wild Pigeons to a 3-0 victory. Hortensio Garza, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Pickering could barely put a dent in Acevedo. The right-hander tossed 149 pitches over 8.2 innings for the Wild Pigeons, allowing only 5 hits.
"From pitch one to the last pitch, Lisandro was aggressive," said Kitchener manager Ralph Ham.
Kitchener is now 67-60, Pickering 60-63.
