The Tucson Highwaymen bumped off the Tempe Olympians, 8-4, at Highwaymen Park. Isaac Murguía hit 3 singles and 1 double. He also had 2 runs batted in. Higinio Estrada was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was Bonifacio Martínez. Picking up the save was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Noé Robert.

Rubén Cifuentes hit a 2-run double off Bonifacio Martínez in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Highwaymen in front, 6-4. In addition to the double, Cifuentes had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.

"We came out aggressive," said Highwaymen manager Chase Ramer. "We came out swinging the bats."
