The rain did not keep Las Piedras and Gurabo from finishing their game.

The Las Piedras Menestrales used a great performance from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Sebastián Suárez to beat the Gurabo Tainos, 3-1, at Parque de los Menestrales. Suárez yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1. His record improves to 19-19.

Martín Vargas helped out the Las Piedras cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a triple.

"We busted our tails," said Gurabo manager Oscar Lugo. "But we came up short."

The Menestrales bumped their record to 90-77 with this win.
