The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
Adjuntas Beatos starter Alfie Monaghan had all his pitches working at Parquecito de Adjuntas. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-2 Adjuntas win over the Jayuya Picachos. The win puts Adjuntas at 7-3.
Dámaso Pérez had a big 3-run home run for the Beatos in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Adjuntas leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Daniel Ortiz and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Beatos on top, 4-0.
"I thought we competed really well," said Beatos manager Santiago Tapia. "I thought the energy was really good."
