Abilene pitcher Orlando Figueroa had a large part in his team beating the Wichita Falls Yardmen, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Abilene is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 4th win in 12 games.

The Preachers got a big hit from designated hitter Uriel Villalobos. In the bottom of the sixth, Villalobos smacked a grand slam home run off Wichita Falls pitcher Josh Wallace. It was his 1st home run of the season. Suddenly, the Preachers were ahead, 5-3.

"Orlando was really on it," said Abilene manager Jon Plotnick. "He's got a feel for playing with the hitter front-to-back, side-to-side."
