Lynx Suffer 5-1 Setback
The Tucson Highwaymen picked up a win at Prescott Stadium, knocking off the Prescott Lynx, 5-1. Starting pitcher Carmelo Contreras played a key role in the triumph. Contreras, who is tied for 3rd in the WFBA in complete games with 3, went the distance for Tucson. He gave up 1 run on 10 hits. Tucson is now 7-9.

Tucson used a well-timed hit by Abdón Díaz to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Highwaymen ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Díaz.
