Salazar Hurls Lubbock to Shutout Victory
It was not a good day at the plate for the Abilene Preachers. They came up empty when it mattered against Lubbock Layabouts right-hander Séptimo Salazar, who scattered 4 hits across 9 innings and held the Preachers scoreless.

"We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Abilene manager Jon Plotnick said later.

Salazar chalked up 8 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 1-0 Layabouts win.
