Serranos Get One-Run Win at Morovis
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Utuado Serranos eventually prevailed.
The Utuado Serranos besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Morovis catcher Pantalian Ledo by beating the Excepciones, 4-3, at Parquecito de Morovis. Ledo went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times. Rutilio Cervantes was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Keaton Follett. Telégono Sánchez was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.
Ben Hodge had a direct impact on the outcome. Hodge contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Utuado up, 4-1.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Hodge. "Those qualities define our team."
With the loss, Morovis drops to 2-11.
