Naguabo got a strong outing from Marius Capisizu as the Malditos defeated the Luquillo Comecocos, 4-1, at El Círculo Noveno. Capisizu, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The triumph makes Naguabo 9-4, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 1909.

Naguabo took a 3-1 lead on Huáscar Tanguma's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Tanguma hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Luquillo pitcher Luis Valentín visibly frustrated.

"It never gets old," said Tanguma. "Winning, that is."
