Brandon got a first-rate effort from pitcher Nurcan Nedim, who frustrated Saskatoon hitters en route to a 2-1 Threshers triumph at Threshers Park. Ronaldo Luna notched his 1st save of the season. Brandon has a mark of 4-3 after the win.

Roan O'Trehy had a big solo home run for the Threshers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Brandon leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Zoilo Zúñiga and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Threshers on top, 2-0.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Nedim.
