No matter what the Brandon Threshers threw at him, Tarasio Ruiz hit it. He easily handled Threshers pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Mennonites triumph, 10-2, at Threshers Park.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Ruiz's quip, Threshers skipper Jesús Guerrero said he "would take him up on that next time."

Tarasio Ruiz hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Solón Balcazar in the 8th.

Looking at his present stats, Ruiz has compiled a .279 batting average in 48 games with a .348 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 17 runs.
