Medicine Hat Stymied by Lupercio
In a seemingly effortless performance, Bernal Lupercio of the Calgary Chargers shot down the Medicine Hat Hellfire, 9-0, on 3 hits.

"Bernal was just locating so well and using his pitches," Calgary manager Enrique Carrillo said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Lupercio recorded 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Medicine Hat manager Crisanto Lira said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

For the year, Lupercio has a 2-1 record with a 4.45 ERA in 2 starts.
