Gulls Send Tyler Home with 4-2 Loss
Galveston starter Noah Hewitt pitched well against the Tyler Pecan Kings at Gulls Field. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Hewitt yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-4. The Gulls, with only their 3rd win in 24 games, have not had much to write home about in 1913.

Left Fielder Jorge Sandoval made an impact for Galveston, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Santiago Ayala in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Sandoval went 1-3 with a double.
