Lavender Stockings Lose to New Braunfels, 2-1
New Braunfels pitcher Laureano Acevedo had a large part in his team beating the Luling Lavender Stockings, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Yodelers improved their record to 24-27 by beating Luling.

The Lavender Stockings had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Yodelers going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old right fielder Luhan Miller came to the plate. Miller hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 sinker from Luling hurler Carlos Arredondo. It was Miller's 2nd home run of the year.

"We put it together and came out with the win," Miller said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
