Prescott left fielder Byron Purchase had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-10, to Tucson in 13 innings. Purchase went 5 for 7 with a triple, a double, and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Tucson reliever Elía Lemus was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Lewis Turner. With the win, Tucson pushed its record to 34-29.

The decisive blow was delivered by Luis Martínez in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a run-scoring double off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Lewis Turner to win the game for Tucson. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Martínez.
