Cadavers Lose as Mammoths Stage Late Rally
The Waco Mammoths topped the San Marcos Cadavers, 4-2, in Eastern Association action at Cadavers Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Waco pitcher Latif bin Afif. Waco reliever Santiago Ávalos was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Faustino Montes De Oca. Waco bumps their record to 40-28 with the win.

Telégono Sánchez came through with a big-time hit for Waco. The second baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It never gets old," said bin Afif. "Winning, that is."
