González Swings Yardmen to 9-4 Win
Wichita Falls right fielder Diego González made his presence felt in the 9-4 Yardmen triumph over the Amarillo Horizons. González went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Wichita Falls pitcher Anacleto Meléndez got the win, upping his record to 10-7. Ángel Parga got the loss. Today's win puts Wichita Falls at 43-28, while Amarillo falls to 43-28.

With Wichita Falls leading 3-1 in the bottom of the third, González hit a curveball from Ángel Parga for a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Yardmen ahead, 7-1.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," González told the Wichita Falls News.
