Big Day for Trejo in 6-3 Horizons Win
The 6-3 Amarillo win over Wichita Falls was due in large part to Rutilio Trejo. The Horizons first baseman went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Melchor Dimas picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Hestio Ponce was tagged with the loss. The first-place Horizons now have a win-loss record of 48-31.

Gillespie McCoy hit a run-scoring double off Hestio Ponce in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Horizons in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, McCoy had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Trejo.
