Olympians Handle Lynx, Nab 5-2 Win
|
The Tempe Olympians topped the Prescott Lynx, 5-2, in Western Association action at Prescott Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Tempe pitcher and Bayamón, Puerto Rico, native Epifanio Cuenca. With the win over Prescott, the Olympians improved to 56-26.
Servio González, who is tied for 4th in the WFBA in RBI with 50, aided the Tempe cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"Epifanio set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Tempe manager Matt Austin.
