The San Marcos Cadavers locked up a win at Cadavers Park, knocking off the Waco Mammoths, 5-3. On the mound for San Marcos was right-hander Amadeo Zúñiga. He played a major role in the triumph. The first-place Mammoths now sit at 57-48.

Séptimo Quintana had a big 2-run home run for the Cadavers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Marcos leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a slider from 30-year old left-handed pitcher Ruy Herrera and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Cadavers on top, 3-0.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Quintana. "And not try to do too much."
