Gerrit Schwob was instrumental in his team's 6-3 triumph over the San Marcos Cadavers. The shortstop was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the New Braunfels Yodelers. The third-place Yodelers improved to 52-55.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Yodelers Grounds seemed to enjoy watching the Eastern Association action.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said San Marcos manager Julio Naranjo.
